Laurren: Can you please state your name and what you do in the band? Zacky: My name is Zacky and I play guitar. Johnny: My name is Johnny Christ and I play bass.
Laurren: What's the worst question that you've ever been asked, or your least favorite question to be asked? Zacky: I guess probaly about our band name, just because we've heard it so many times. We get asked a lot. Johnny: Or questions when the interviewers dont know anything about the band, I guess.
Laurren: What's the craziest or weirdest thing a fan has ever done for you or your band? Zacky: Wow. We've got some pretty crazy fans; it'd be kind of hard to find the craziest fan or craziest thing they've done. I've seen so many Avenged Sevenfold tatoos: on their forearms, on peoples hands, necks, chest... you know. That's pretty crazy, that's the ultimate devotion, thats really cool. We've had fans fly from different countries, like from Eurpoe, to come see us out in California. That's pretty crazy. We've had kids drive thousand of miles across America to see us and come to shows. That's really really cool. We probaly have a few stalkers here and there too.
Laurren: If you could thank one person for the majority of your success, who would it be? Johnny: My mom. Zacky: I'd thank Johnny's mom too. (laughs) I don't know, I think there's a lot of people. I don't think it comes down to just one person. I'd definately have to thank my bandmates, who are my best friends, and definately my family and our whole team, you know? Our crew, management, tour manager, everyone. Everyone definately works hard and helps us out a lot.
Laurren: What show that you have played has been the most memorable so far and why? Johnny: Probaly Chicago. Wait, are we just talking about Warped Tour? Laurren: No, any show. Zacky: Personally, it's a really hard question to answer cause we've had so many really amazing shows that I'll always remember, but I think when we did our video shoot and we played at the Henry Fonda Theater in L.A., it was just our most diehard fans, and they all came out. That's one of the shows that kids drove thousand of miles and kids flew from Europe for. Everyone was there, you know, the whole Avenged Sevenfold community. Everyone with their tattoos and full-force just going nuts, and it made the show so much fun. Being able to see our video and re-live that show is definately kind of amazing to me. Johnny: I concur.
Laurren: What's your favorite song to play live, and why? Zacky: I really like playing 'I won't See You Tonight' part one and part two, because it's a little bit of a change of pace from our upbeat songs, and it gives us a chance to show off a little bit more. Pretty much all of us, like in part two, you know, The Reverend gets to show off on drums more, and it just has some awesome solos. It's really fun to play because some parts are really simple and it's just kind of moving. You really get into it when you're playing it, I think. Johnny: I like playing 'Eternal Rest' a lot. Zacky: Yeah 'Unholy Confessions' too, cause thats what kids seem to know the most right now and it's always good to see kids singing along and going crazy.
Laurren: In your opinon, what are the three greatest movies of all time, since I'm sure you have a lot of time to kill on the road? Zacky: I'd say 'House of a Thousand Corpses', 'Return of the Living Dead', and probaly 'Nightmare Before Christmas'. Johnny: I'd have to say 'Batman', 'Terminator II' and fucking... Synyster Gates? (Synyster and The Rev walk in the room)
Synyster: Hi, did you start already? Zacky: Oh yeah! The Rev: Are we interrupting? Zacky: Oh yeah! Synyster: We'll we're in the band too, so just get over it. Synyster: I'll sit on the table. By table, I mean chair. The Rev: Hi, it's nice to meet you. Zacky: Jesus christ.
Laurren: If you could have any super power, what would it be? The Rev: To be invisible so that I could kill Johnny and no one would know. Johnny: To be invisible so Rev could never find me. (everyone laughs) The Rev: Not to just jump in and start answering questions or anything... Synyster: Hey man, don't even worry, cause you're in the band. Zacky: I want x-ray vision, sometimes. Just so I can check out Syn's package. Synyster: I'm Synyster Gates, he's talking about my package.
Laurren: Do you have any closing statements or anything that you would like to be added to the interview? (laughs) The Rev: It's over already?! Zacky: Would you guys like to thank me and Johnny for doing it? The Rev: Well I'd like to thank Val for waking me up to do it. Synyster: I want to be my boss's boss. Not to go back in time. The Rev: Well fucking... interview me! Synyster: I want to be interviewed. Laurren: Are you kidding?! Should I start over again? Synyster: MHM!
Laurren: Can you please state your name and what you do in the band? Synyster: I play Synyster Gates and I am guitar. (everyone laughs)
Laurren: What's the worst question or your least favorite question to be asked? Synyster: What my name is and what do I do. Just kidding! I don't know. Size of your cock? Laurren: Ass. (laughs) Zacky: Haha ouch. Your answers rule my answers.
Laurren: What's the craziest or weirdest thing a fan has ever done for you or your band? (all of them start laughing) Zacky: Now that my super friends are here, the answers are going to get a litle more exiciting! Synyster: The weirdest thing is... The Rev: Come on, I know the weirdest thing. The weirdest thing is that chick that came up and asked me to cut her with a knife. Isn't that the weirdest thing? Synyster: Yes, it is. Next question.
(The tape cut off here, but it was all pretty useless information and joking around for the next 10 minutes, anyways.)
